Wings of Prosperity

Earlier today I wound one bobbin with 8/2 Tencel using the electric bobbin winder. The winder has a foot pedal control and it is crazy fast. I only use it for very fine yarns.

My plan was to wind a nice fat bobbin that - maybe - could weave the entire scarf without using a second bobbin, i.e. no joins.

Oops, too big, it wouldn't fit in the boat shuttle and I had to wind some off.

I used some handspun cotton yarn as "waste yarn" to weave a header and then hemstitched with the Tencel.

Weaving in progress.
