So Frosty

We had a freeze warning yesterday as the temperature dipped below 32°.

The Ranch valley was a frosty white - so beautiful, so brrrr.

White Seas

Today's early morning fog was especially beautiful; hovering below the hilltops it seemed to create islands surrounded by seas of white.

True Gold

We changed our clocks today. I had to get up pretty early to see the horizon lighten. It was worth it.

Cup in Hand

We changed our clocks to Daylight Savings Time two weeks ago but my sleep rhythm is still out of sync. Finally, this morning, I was able to wake up early enough to greet the new day.

Time Off

Okay, I just looked at the calendar and counted the days. It's been 113 days since my last post. Yup, written Wednesday, July 19th. It sounds like I've got some catching up to do.

I'll start with the pics I took on Sunday at 7:13 am (though some clocks still read 8:13 am).

No matter, it was a "Wow" moment to witness.

"The time would not pass. Somebody was playing with the clocks, and not only the electronic clocks but the wind-up kind too. The second hand on my watch would twitch once, and a year would pass, and then it would twitch again. There was nothing I could do about it. As an Earthling I had to believe whatever clocks said - and calendars."

First Day

 Early morning

The first day of trimming went well

The goats are not used to being locked up all day. Despite receiving fresh forage (just purchased yesterday from the Feed Store) they loudly let their unhappiness be known.
