On Sunday my eyes popped open at 5:09 am. I wanted them to close again but instead I dragged myself out of bed and out the door into the cold foggy morning.
The mountains were shrouded in thick drippy fog, I couldn't see anything. Luckily I looked up.
The SpaceX rocket had launched right on schedule at 5:11 am. It would have been a fantastic launch to watch had it not been for the thick fog. I did manage to get glimpses now and again.
I was hoping to hear the Sonic Boom but The Man said all sound would have been absorbed by the fog. Drats and I waited till 5:30 to hear it.
When The Man got up he asked, "How was the launch?" He was joking. He didn't think I had gotten up. I told him about it and showed him the pics I took - photographic evidence.
