I took the sourdough starter out of the fridge Thursday morning. It was way way in the back and, in fact, I had not fed it since May. I know.
I discarded the black stuff (hooch) and looked carefully for any hint of pink (mold). All good so I gave it two generous spoonfuls of Bob's Red Mill All Purpose Flour and warm filtered water and fed it twice a day.
Three days later and it's perked right up. I guess I have been forgiven.
