The Man left Pfeiffer's anchorage at midnight. It was a nine-hour journey to Morro Bay and wind was expected in the afternoon so he left in the calm of night. Morro Bay ETA 9:30.
Unfortunately, The Man got his butt kicked anyway while crossing (the usually calm) Estero Bay. A combination of swell, off-shore winds, and wind chop made for a very rough several hours.
He texted me a video:

This afternoon we drove back to Morro Bay. The marine weather forecast looks good for going around Point Conception on Monday or Tuesday.
The Man will be spending the night on Nell tonight for an early departure tomorrow morning.
We lounged on the back deck, and soaked up the weak sun.
Fun to see us captured on the Morro Bay Yacht Club Webcam

Before I headed home, a nice Harbor Cruise in the skiff.
It felt like the good old days when we spent so much time on the bay.
