It took four days to ply the singles of ITW "Decidedly So". My spinning plan mentioned plying a traditional 3-ply or .... I went with or.
I spent three days working on a new to me technique: Winding a Chain-Ply plying ball.
Sunday, July 27
The plying ball is essentially a crochet chain of three singles. I ended up wrapping around a quarter instead of the yellow styrofoam ball which was too slick and kept flying out of my hands.
Monday, July 28
A really long (crochet) chain, across the room in fact.
Tuesday, July 29
Plying ball completed, ready for the actual plying (adding twist).
Wednesday, July 30
Plying was super quick, just a little over an hour. Worth it? TBD - to be determined.
