I started spinning ITW October's Club fiber on the Lendrum.
The "Crown of Jack McLantern" colorway still makes me think of leaves.
yarn: (1) a continuous strand of twisted fibers used in weaving or knitting, (2) a narrative of adventures.

Loom Room aka Second Guest Bedroom.
It is nice to know that the Loom Room can function as a Guest Bedroom should the need arise.
I gotta say that having an attic is especially handy to hide hold the Rigid Heddle looms, bins of Spinning fiber, and various fiber tools that live in this room.
Our family's visit was unfortunately cancelled due to illness but the Loom Room got a nice cleaning and an even nicer clean out.
Found one of my woven cloths in the sewing box - waiting, waiting - for someone (me) to come along and do a little hand-hemming thereby turning it into a usable dish towel.

We dropped The Man's Mom off at the SLO County Airport this morning. Just to be safe we got to the airport two hours prior to her boarding time. (It had been crazy busy when we picked her up on Sunday so we thought it wise to allow for the extra time.)
The airport was eerily empty. I guess we got there at a good time and beat the rush.
I started a new weaving project on a 12" x 12" traditional 3-pin loom. The loom was made by Bigfam15 (one of my favorite Etsy Makers) and purchased from a Ravelry destash.
Handspun yarn for warp and weft: ITW, "Shangra-Effin-La", Grey Suffolk wool.
At first weaving with a needle - and carrying 12 yards of weft yarn along - seemed slow and awkward but I quickly figured out that if I paid attention to yarn management I spent less time on fixing tangled yarn.
A perk of going to the Dentist in Los Osos is stopping at Carlock's Bakery on the way home. Turkey and Cheddar Croissants for today's lunch and Chocolate Chip Croissants for tomorrow's breakfast.
SpaceX has been busy shooting off Falcon 9 rockets from Vandenberg SFB this month.

Yesterday I freed up even more bobbins and promptly washed and dried the newly plied skeins: (top) Goblin, (bottom) Moonlight.
This morning I realized I forgot to thwack the yarn. Thwacking is part of the finishing process - it helps to distribute twist, set the twist, and causes the fibers to bloom. Plus it's pretty darn fun.
Goblin, made with Jacob wool, had plumped up nicely with an even twist so I skipped the process.
Moonlight was a bit more uneven and could use the help. I resoaked the nearly dry skein and thwacked it.
