I opted for a fractal 2-ply yarn with HipString's Moonlight. First the braid was split in half vertically; one half was set aside to spin from tip to end on bobbin #1. The second half was further split into four thin strips. These skinny strips would be spun from tip to end (four times) on bobbin #2.
Last two strips to spin on bobbin #2.
The color changes for bobbin #1 happens slowly and gradually whereas with bobbin #2 the color changes happen more frequently.
