We Sound Like Chickens

Our monthly Little Looms weaving group got together on Tuesday.

First we had our potluck - Julie made carrot cake with cream cheese frosting and Diane made Lemon and Rosemary Shortbread bars. Oh, and we had salads and healthy food too. I brought Spanish Rice and Lupe brought Fideo (Spanish Pasta). All very yum.

Then we had our Show and Tell, and then we played with fiber with sharp barbed needles. Linda made kits which included a piece of square felt, colorful fiber, a needle stuck in a cork, and foam squares. She taught us how to stab a needle through the fiber and have it stick on the felt base. This technique is called dry felting (remember: wet felting).

As we tapped, tapped, tapped, with the needle we sounded like chickens pecking at seeds.

Here's mine. (Psst, it's supposed to be the Super Bloom.)
