yarn: (1) a continuous strand of twisted fibers used in weaving or knitting, (2) a narrative of adventures.
I am thinking of spinning the Inglenook Fibers Sticklebatts with Supported Spindles.
It has been quite awhile since I've spun supported. Starting small with an IF Mushroom Blend Sampler, just 3 oz ~ 1/2 oz per color.

The Sticklebatts from Inglenook Fibers arrived earlier this week. It is lovely.
Snowy Owl, "Using a lovely Corrie X fleece from Shepherd's Hey, this smooth batt set is for those who prefer less texture." Non-Sparkle Sticklebatts - Corrie X fleece, Merino, Silk, Camel.
Carol of the Birds, "Using 2 lovely Corrie X fleece from Shepherd's Hey, this earthy batt set is a party for you spinning wheel!" Non-Sparkle Sticklebatts - Corrie X fleece, Merino, Silk, Tweed blend.
Blizzard, "Made with the amazing Haunui fleece straight from the flock in NZ, which we washed and picked and carded with yak/mulberry, then blended with more colorful top and silks and sparkle! No added texture." Sparkle Sticklebatts - Haunui fleece, Yak, Merino, Silk, Angelina.
I purchased an Over the Door Organizer to hold the Scarf Ball yarns. So neat and tidy.
The next thing I know I am emptying out the dresser in the Loom Room and then moving it into the Craft Room (aka Yarn Room).
Next I turned my attention back to the Loom Room and rearranged the three Ikea Kallax shelving cubes.
Very nice, I like it.
A Guild friend gave me her Doubling Stand. Weavers use it to twist two or three threads together.
I am using the Doubling Stand to make Scarf Balls.

I tried a little bit of everything, cleaned my plate, and went back for dessert. It was delicious.
Sending more Wooly Wear Ornaments out into the world this week:
Lynn, a Shepherdess of Santa Cruz Island sheep, was the perfect recipient to win a Sheep and Llama set at our LL group Holiday party. In her Thank You email she wrote, "It's like you made them for me but I don't know how you would have known my name would be drawn". Like I said, "the perfect recipient".
Betty, another Guild friend asked if she could commission me to make ten ornaments. I like her so much I said, "Yes".

Eight Sheep, one Alpaca, and one Lady Hen ready for Betty at tomorrow's Guild Holiday Party.
Well, I had a fun fiber experience this afternoon. I was one of four lucky winners to receive a Stalk-free Pass for today's Inglenook Fiber Update, which means first dibs on one product listing.
I knew that I wanted to try out a Sticklebatt, they are "bite-sized morsels of batt for easy spinning". I selected "Blizzard" because Haunui fleece from New Zealand and Angelina sparkle are both new to me.
I checked out and paid for my reserved item.
And then two more Sticklebatt colorways jumped into my shopping cart.
I know, right?
The second Tuesday of each month is set aside for Little Looms Group. It's an all-day affair with Spinners' group in the morning and LLG in the afternoon.
In between - at noon - we eat. I brought Focaccia bread and homemade Vanilla ice cream.
The ice cream paired nicely with Pat's Ginger Spice cake. (Sorry, no pic, my hands were full.)
